Nashville Predators rookie Matthew Wood scored his first NHL goal, but the team lost to the Philadelphia Flyers with a final score of 4-1 on Thursday night.
The Preds outshot the Flyers 33-18, but the home team had the advantage where it counted.
"Another tough loss - disappointing,"said Preds Alternate Captain Ryan O’Reilly.
"Opportunities could have been different, but it’s the way it’s going right now. [We just have to] keep fighting."
Preds Head Coach Andrew Brunette noted,
"It was a great effort, we played really well but didn’t get the result,"and added that the team is frustrated but will continue to fight through the tough times.
The team showed a lot of fight, and Coach Brunette expects them to
"keep fighting"going forward.
