A former Newry lecturer has written a "powerful" historical novel, inspired by his passion for people and place.
Tom Torely, now living in Crossmaglen, has always admired the resilience and strength of the Irish people and "ordinary" people who suffered under difficult circumstances.
He encouraged young students to keep this in mind through their studies, promoting writing as a tool for liberation and self-determination.
