One Battle After Another in the Context of the Present Day

One Battle After Another in the Context of the Present Day

I was inspired to watch One Battle After Another after listening to a New York Times interview with Sean Penn.

Unlike my friend Gregory Maskarinec, I still follow the NYT and even listen to Ezra Klein podcasts. In an interview with David Marchese, Penn stated that his performance was

studied and intentional
, unlike some of his previous roles.

I'm not familiar with most of Penn's work, often thinking of him as Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). His performance in Lockjaw is similarly comedic, parodying a white supremacist military man.
