Artist Bianca Broxton returned to Medford to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution by remembering Belinda Sutton, an enslaved woman.

In a performance, Broxton wore a floor-length gown, white stockings, and a white veil, symbolizing the lost records of enslaved people, particularly in Medford.

Broxton recited names of enslaved women and girls in Medford, including "Kate, Mira, Nan, Nancy, Nancy, Nanny, Negro Girl, Negro Woman, Phebe, Present, Prine, Priscilla …"
