Over 60 major and numerous small employers are collaborating with the government to address the rising number of people out of work due to ill health.
This joint effort, developed in response to Sir Charlie Mayfield's Keep Britain Working Review, will focus on preventing ill-health, supporting employees to stay in work, and helping employers create healthier, more resilient workplaces.
The Review estimates that one in five working-age adults is out of work due to health reasons, costing businesses £85 billion a year from sickness, turnover, and lost productivity.
Major brands such as British Airways, Google, and John Lewis, as well as Mayoral Combined Authorities and SMEs, are among the early adopters of the proposals set out in the Review.
