Ryan Coogler, Tessa Thompson, Octavia Spencer and Daniel Kaluuya are among the presenters for Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming American Cinematheque tribute. The ceremony will take place on November 20 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, where Jordan will receive the honor as its 39th recipient.
Coogler and Jordan have built one of the most productive partnerships in recent cinema, joining forces on five major films: “Fruitvale Station,” “Creed,” “Black Panther,” “Wakanda Forever,” and the recent box office success “Sinners.”
In “Sinners,” Jordan portrayed twin brothers Smoke and Stack in a gritty, R-rated vampire tale that has earned $367 million globally, ranking among the highest-grossing original horror films ever made.
“The ‘Sinners’ star and ‘Creed III’ director is set to become the 39th recipient of the honor during a ceremony held Nov. 20 at the Beverly Hilton.”
Michael B. Jordan will be honored by American Cinematheque for his powerful film legacy, supported by collaborators Ryan Coogler, Tessa Thompson, Octavia Spencer, and Daniel Kaluuya.
