Sebastian Tounekti's Absence from Tunisia's Squad
Despite being called up, Celtic's Sebastian Tounekti was not part of Tunisia's squad for the World Cup qualifiers.
Tounekti, who has only three international caps, is set to play a significant role in two major tournaments: the Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup.
However, he was left out of the main squad for the match against São Tomé and Príncipe, which Tunisia won 6-0.
The simple answer to all of this is that Tounekti’s injured.
From a Celtic perspective, this news is both good and bad. With huge games coming up after the October international break, Tounekti's return to Glasgow is preferred.
