Center Nate Danielson is expected to be in the Grand Rapids Griffins lineup for their home game against the Manitoba Moose.
The Detroit Red Wings activated Danielson from injured non-roster and assigned him to the Griffins. At 21, Danielson had a strong Red Wings training camp and might have made the NHL roster if not for an injury four weeks ago.
Danielson, a two-way center, is likely to be brought up to the Red Wings at some point this season. He joins other key prospects in Grand Rapids, including Carter Mazur, Amadeus Lombardi, and William Wallinder, who are also candidates for a call-up this season.
In his rookie season of 2024-25, Danielson scored 12 goals and 39 points for Grand Rapids.
