LoL - Worlds 2025: G2 Esports Scrim Performance Overview
Sheep Esports provides expert insights and news on League of Legends Esports. Following their usual tradition after each split or major event, Romain Bigeard, General Manager of G2 Esports in the LEC, shared detailed scrim results from Worlds 2025.
Scrim Activity and Overall Winrate
Between October 3rd and their quarterfinals exit against Top Esports on October 30th, G2 maintained an intense scrim schedule. They completed 35 blocks with a total of 129 games, achieving an overall winrate of 54.2%, with 70 wins and 59 losses.
Performance Against Regional Opponents
Analyzing scrim data shows distinct regional strengths and weaknesses for G2 during Worlds 2025. Two regions stood out as particularly difficult for G2: the LTA and the LPL.
- G2's only win against an LPL team was a best-of-one victory over BiliBili Gaming in Round 2.
- Their heaviest scrim defeat came early from Invictus Gaming, losing a block 1–6.
- Facing LTA region's FlyQuest three times, G2 only secured a win on the main stage, not during scrims.
Strong Performance Against LCK Teams
In contrast, G2 performed notably better against South Korean teams. Despite not scrimming at all against Hanwha Life Esports—the only tournament team they skipped—the LCK region was the one G2 scrimmed the most by total games.
"The best-of-one win over BiliBili Gaming in Round 2 is almost G2’s only victory against the LPL, while Invictus Gaming handed them their heaviest defeat in a single scrim block at the very start of their campaign (1–6)."
