Samira Wiley and Jin Ha Join Broadway Revival of Proof
Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production is directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.
Grammy nominee Jin Ha will return to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle at the Booth Theatre, starting March 31, 2026.
Cast Backgrounds
- Samira Wiley is a Juilliard graduate who recently appeared in Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel at London’s Donmar Warehouse. She has also performed in the National Theatre’s production of Blues For An Alabama Sky and starred Off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.
- On television, Wiley is known for her role as Poussey Washington on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black and recently completed filming the final season of Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. She won the 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama and has received three additional nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
- Jin Ha made his Broadway debut in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. In 2018, he played Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
