Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows DLC Arrives in December
FromSoftware has officially confirmed a new expansion for its acclaimed action RPG, Elden Ring Nightreign. The upcoming DLC, titled The Forsaken Hollows, will be released on December 4th, bringing players back into a darker chapter of the Nightreign saga.
The Great Hollow Awakens
The PlayStation State of Play event unveiled the expansion, which centers around the discovery of a massive abyss known as the Great Hollow. According to the PlayStation blog, this new area lies deep within Limveld and brims with crumbling ruins, perilous terrain, and crystals that drain life from anyone who ventures too close.
“A big hole has opened up in the depths of Limveld, shifting the earth. It's filled with ancient ruins, life-sapping crystals, and also lots of things that want to take your lunch money.”
New Characters and Bosses
Players can step into the role of their familiar Nightfarer or try two new classes introduced in this expansion: the Scholar — a studious spellcaster with keen intellect, and the Undertaker — a resilient abbess blessed with immense strength and unwavering faith.
Boss fights will include returning faces from the Dark Souls universe, such as the legendary knight Artorias, as well as newcomers like the Dancing Lion, first seen in Shadow of the Erdtree.

The developers teased a grim continuation of Elden Ring’s mythos, reflecting on the lingering impact of endless struggles against the forces of night.
“In our war against the Night, every battle left a scar. A foul life, born of cast-away souls. Steel your resolve, Nightfarers. This hunt must be seen to its end.”
Release Window
The Forsaken Hollows DLC launches on December 4th, 2025, with additional content planned by March 2026.
