Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a shooting in South Peoria that left a 22-year-old man critically wounded.
A police spokesperson reported that officers were called to the 2300 block of West Antoinette on Sunday at approximately 1:25 p.m. after a ShotSpotter alert indicated 15 shots were fired.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, several juveniles were seen running into a home on West Antoinette, where a search warrant was later executed. Three teens were taken into custody, and
“multiple” guns were found in the house, including a stolen gun.
