Washington Invests in Sunnyside Apple Processing Plant
The plant is expected to open later this year, creating approximately 250 new jobs in the Sunnyside area.
State money is being invested in Yakima County to improve site readiness at the new Manzana Products Co. apple products processing plant in Sunnyside.
Awards totaling $700,000 from the Governor’s Economic Development Strategic Reserve Fund will be made, with the money helping to create 270 new jobs in the area.
The money coupled with private investment will make "Washington's economy stronger", especially in rural and underserved communities.
Other investments are being made in Clallam and Spokane counties.
