Four-Vehicle Crash on US-24 Highway
A serious collision occurred on Monday morning on US-24 highway in Riley County, resulting in three people being seriously injured.
The crash, which was reported at 8:33 a.m., involved a 2013 Nissan Sentra, a 2014 Ford Focus, a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and a westbound Dodge Ram pickup truck. The Nissan struck the Ford, which was stopped to turn left onto Lasita Road, pushing it into the Mitsubishi.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the sequence of events unfolded as follows:
- The Nissan ran into the back of the Ford.
- The Ford was pushed into the Mitsubishi.
- The Nissan then struck a westbound Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Two others were taken to area hospitals with suspected minor injuries. The location of the crash was about four miles west of Leonardville, near Lasita Road.
