Sikorsky Converts Black Hawk into Autonomous U-Hawk

Operators can control the aircraft on and off uncrewed ground vehicles for air-ground resupply operations.

Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, has transformed a UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter into the fully autonomous S-70UAS U-Hawk.

The U-Hawk has a fly-by-wire system integrated with MATRIX autonomy, enabling operators to control missions via a tablet.

The first flight of the U-Hawk is expected in 2026.
