Woman Turns 100, Celebrates with Family and Caregivers
Therese Fredericks, a resident of Pelican Landing Assisted Living community, will celebrate her 100th birthday surrounded by staff and family.
Born in Germany in 1925, Fredericks immigrated to the United States at age 4, arriving through Ellis Island in New York.
She built a life centered on family, marrying the late John Fredericks and raising a daughter, Joy, and a son, Jack, both of whom have since died. She has a living son named Jeff.
“Through the years, Therese built a beautiful life rooted in love and family,” her family said. “One that would be filled with both challenges and rich enduring joys.”
Staff at Pelican Landing, where Fredericks is known affectionately as Terry, praised her enduring spirit.
