Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro has ordered a new series of military drills as tensions with the U.S. continue to escalate.
In an audio message sent on Telegram, Maduro announced that the drills will take place in Caracas and the neighboring state of Miranda.
Maduro said the drill seeks to "defend mountains, coasts, schools, hospitals, factories, markets" to "keep winning our peace."
Tensions between the countries remain high, with three U.S. B-52 bombers conducting a flyover off the Venezuelan coast on Wednesday.
