New data from a leading Spanish property website, Idealista, reveals the top nationalities applying for mortgages in Spain.
According to the latest figures, German nationals lead with 17.1% of foreign mortgages, followed by British applicants with 13.7%.

- French and Swiss: 8.7% each
- Dutch: 8.3%
- US nationals: 5.1%
- Belgians: 4.2%
- Irish: 4.1%
- Swedes: 2.6%
- Italians: 1.9%
