Scottish Rugby Launches Full-Time Men's Sevens Programme
Scottish Rugby is launching a full-time men's sevens programme at Oriam, located at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
This programme will be run in partnership with Scotland's Sports Performance Centre, strengthening their relationship.
- A small group of core Scottish contracted players will be based at Oriam.
- Great Britain Men's Sevens will also be based there ahead of World Series events.
This marks another significant step forward in our partnership with Scottish Rugby, which continues to go from strength to strength.
According to Scottish Rugby's Performance Director, David Nucifora:
Oriam is a high-quality training base for our teams and we look forward to continue working with Oriam in the future as we grow and develop our high-performance plans.
