Veteran Actor Asrani Passes Away
Veteran actor Asrani sadly passed away from a long-term illness at the age of 84.
He had the most legendary comic timing.
Asrani was born Govardhan Asrani on January 1, 1941, and starred in over 350 Bollywood films over five decades.
His film career began with Hum Kahan Ja Rahe Hain (1966), and he also acted in over 25 films with Rajesh Khanna in the lead role, including Bawarchi (1972), Namak Haraam (1973), and Aap Ki Kasam (1974).
Asrani collaborated with legendary director Hrishikesh Mukherjee on films such as Abhimaan (1973), Chupke Chupke (1975), and Mili (1975), and is famous for his role as the Jailor in Sholay (1975).
