The Vancouver Canucks May Have Gotten a Steal in Lukas Reichel
The Chicago Blackhawks traded Lukas Reichel to the Vancouver Canucks for a 2027 fourth-round pick.
Reichel's play improved in the early stages of 2025-26, but he was no longer in the Blackhawks' long-term plans, averaging just 9:52 of average total ice time.
Despite four points and two goals in the first five games, his role diminished due to lack of production, with youngsters like Frank Nazar and veteran role players like Ryan Donato performing well enough to pass him up.
He never put up more than eight goals and 22 points in a single season.
