Tshwane Metro Police Prioritizes GBV During Festive Season
The Tshwane metro police has announced that combating gender-based violence (GBV) will be its top priority during the upcoming festive season.
According to TMPD Chief Yolanda Faro, the city launched its 2025 festive season anti-crime campaign in Eersterust, outlining a 10-point plan to ensure resident safety.
- Residential and business robberies
- Illegal mining and immigration
- Illegal firearms
- Counterfeit goods and drug trafficking
- Enforcement of by-laws, including road safety inspections
- Extortions and kidnappings
