Tshwane Mayor Outraged by Mamelodi Murders
Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya has expressed outrage over the brutal murders of cousins Tshiamo and Baleseng Moramaga, aged 21 and 22.
Their bodies were found with gunshot wounds in Mamelodi East Extension 17 on Sunday.
A moment of silence was observed in their memory during the launch of the 2025 Safe Festive Season Campaign in Eersterust on Tuesday.
"What kind of society have we become? Where men think, they are so entitled to women that when they don't get what they want, they want to take the life that God has given to that woman,”
Moya emphasized that the murders highlight the prevalence of gender-based violence against vulnerable women.
