Call for Autonomy Restoration
Nene Bediako Baah Muala III, Divisional Chief of Dorm in the Manya Krobo Traditional Area, has called for the restoration of an independent paramountcy for the people of Dorm.
"Dorm needs its own Paramountcy"
He emphasized that the division deserves to reclaim its historical status and autonomy within the Krobo traditional structure. The chief expressed his dissatisfaction with the current traditional arrangements during a durbar at the Ngmayem Festival at Kpongunor.
- The durbar was attended by traditional leaders, political figures, clergy, Asafoatseme (warriors), and hundreds of indigenes.
- The event celebrated the heritage and progress of the Manya Krobo people.
