Andre and Darnell Davis were arrested for Common Law Robbery and Second Degree Kidnapping following an assault on a store employee. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's recent Facebook post, Providence Division officers responded to a robbery call in the 2200 block of Park Road.
The incident escalated when a store employee challenged the suspects as they tried to leave with unpaid merchandise and was allegedly assaulted. Police identified the suspects as Andre Desmond Davis, 20, and Darnell Montraite Davis, 39.
Ten days after the incident, detectives conducted voluntary interviews with both men. After the interviews, the suspects were taken into custody by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
