Paul Rodgers to Skip Bad Company's Rock Hall Induction

Just days after drummer Simon Kirke announced that he would reunite with vocalist Paul Rodgers for a Bad Company performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, Rodgers has decided to withdraw from the event due to health concerns.

Bad Company are scheduled to be inducted this Saturday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, alongside Soundgarden, OutKast, The White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, and others. Fans, however, will not see the two surviving classic members of Bad Company perform together.

“My hope was to be at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health. I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else. Simon along with some outstanding musicians will be stepping in for me – guaranteed to rock.”

Rodgers’ message, shared on Bad Company’s social media, reassured fans that the performance will go on, featuring Kirke joined by guest vocalists and other musicians. Rodgers previously revealed that he had suffered several strokes over the years, nearly ending his career, but emphasized that his current withdrawal is unrelated to vocal issues.

Author’s Summary:
