A 21-year-old woman from Blackfoot, Idaho, died from an accidental gunshot wound during a hunting trip with her relatives in Fremont County.
Kaylanee Orr was fatally shot when a relative's gun accidentally discharged, striking her in the chest, according to Fremont County Coroner Brenda Dye.
“They were in a very isolated area that they’ve hunted before,” says Amanda Graff, Orr’s aunt. “(The relative) tried to save her life for over an hour doing chest compressions until people got there to help, (but) she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred on Friday, and an investigation is likely to follow.
