The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has commenced proceedings against Microsoft Australia and its US-based parent company, Microsoft Corporation, for allegedly misleading approximately 2.7 million Australian customers.

The allegations relate to the communication of subscription options and price increases after integrating the AI assistant, Copilot, into Microsoft 365 plans.
