A Nantwich runner has won the Trafford 10k with a personal best time, capping off a successful couple of months.
Sarah Dufour-Jackson completed the race in 32 minutes and 34 seconds, beating her previous personal best by 35 seconds.
This achievement places her 17th in the UK rankings for this year, just below notable GB athletes like Samantha Harrison.
Recently, Sarah represented England for the first time at the Home Nations Championships with the Senior Women team in the 5k race.
She was also part of the team that won the Women’s 4 stage National Road Relays at Sutton Coldfield in October, alongside Grace Roberts, Darcey Murphy, and Holly Weedall.
“For such a small club like Vale Royal against the rest of the clubs in the country, that was pretty big! I want to thank coach Stu Doyle and Vale Royal as a club.”
