Deadline for Renew NC Grants Approaches
The deadline to apply for grants through Renew NC is December 31. This state program offers free assistance with home repair and rebuilding for those affected by Hurricane Helene.
“Too many of our neighbors are still living in unsafe or temporary housing after Helene,” said Julia Horrocks, managing attorney at Pisgah Legal Services.
The Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program provides assistance to homeowners still struggling with home damage and loss a year after the storm. This program will have a long-term impact on communities by providing safe and stable housing, paying local contractors, and generating property taxes.
