Duffer Brothers Respond to Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour Bullying Claims at ‘Stranger Things’ Premiere

Duffer Brothers Address Bullying Allegations at “Stranger Things” Premiere

During the press tour for the final season of Stranger Things, a viral report surfaced accusing Millie Bobby Brown of alleging on-set bullying by co-star David Harbour. Despite this, both actors appeared friendly and smiling at the season five world premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Responses from Creators and Producers

Co-creator Ross Duffer declined to discuss personal on-set issues but emphasized the long-standing close relationship with the cast.

“Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal on-set matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”

Director and executive producer Shawn Levy described some of the reported stories as “wildly inaccurate” and outlined the production's commitment to a safe working environment.

“At the end of the day, that’s the job. You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”

Maintaining a Respectful Set

The controversy remains unconfirmed by the involved parties and did not overshadow the premiere event.
