The newest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! was unexpectedly canceled and removed from the lineup at the last minute. The episode, originally scheduled for Thursday, November 6, was to feature David Duchovny, Joe Keery, and Madison Beer.
Instead, a previous episode with Tessa Thompson, Daymond John, and The Beths was re-aired without explanation. Neither Jimmy Kimmel nor ABC have publicly commented on the sudden cancellation.
Madison Beer, 26, addressed the change on social media, stating:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date.”
This unexpected cancellation follows the show’s suspension two months earlier over controversial remarks made by Kimmel about Charlie Kirk. In September, an ABC spokesperson confirmed to Us Weekly that Jimmy Kimmel Live! would be “pre-empted indefinitely.”
Kimmel had commented on the arrest of Tyler Robinson for Kirk’s murder, saying:
“The MAGA Gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it. In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”
The latest cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel Live! follows its earlier indefinite suspension after Kimmel's controversial remarks about Charlie Kirk and reflects ongoing unexpected disruptions to the show's schedule.
