Good Samaritans Rescue Stranded Whales
Two men in Nova Scotia, Mark Rankin and Grant Cameron, rescued three stranded pilot whales on a beach.
Time was of the essence when they arrived at the beach, as low tide was approaching and the whales were in danger.
- Three pilot whales were found stranded at 9 a.m.
- The Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans had been called, but the men weren't sure they would arrive in time.
"We stripped down to our briefs and did the best we could,"
Rankin told CTV News. The men quickly set aside their plans and sprang into action, stripping down to their underwear to save the whales.
