Republican Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly has defeated her Democratic challenger Nicole Aloise in the battle for the county's top law enforcement position.
According to Board of Election results, Donnelly held a roughly 10-point lead over Aloise, with more than 75% of election districts reporting.
Donnelly declared victory at the Coral House in Baldwin, joined by County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who also won reelection.
Key policies such as opposing cashless bail laws were agreed upon by the career prosecutors.
