4-star DB Jay Timmons switches commitment from Florida State to Ohio State
Four-star cornerback Jay Timmons has changed his commitment for the 2026 recruiting class from Florida State to Ohio State, announcing the decision on social media. This follows his official visit to Columbus, Ohio, to visit the Buckeyes last weekend.
Timmons initially committed to Florida State in June after the Seminoles flipped him from his prior pledge to Indiana. He is the son of former FSU linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who played for Florida State in the early 2000s.
